In his view, the former FTX chief and his associates &#8220;perpetrated the fraud&#8221; and should be in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, in an interview with Tiffany Fung <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/sam-bankman-fried-explains-the-causes-of-the-ftx-collapse-and-the-ftt-token\">stated<\/a> that the exchange\u2019s utility token (FTT) &#8220;had real value,&#8221; and that its collapse was caused by investors&#8217; actions. Bankman-Fried stepped down as CEO.<\/p>\n<p>Later, he <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ftxs-new-ceo-urges-not-to-rely-on-bankman-frieds-statements\">expressed regret<\/a> about that decision and said he should have continued efforts to secure funding. John J. Ray III, who took over as FTX\u2019s CEO and chief restructuring officer, urged not to rely on SBF\u2019s statements.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, it was reported that a group of American investors <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/reuters-u-s-investors-file-class-action-lawsuit-against-sam-bankman-fried\">filed a suit<\/a> against Bankman-Fried.<\/p>\n<p>A few days later a Canadian resident <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/lawsuit-filed-against-sam-bankman-fried-and-the-golden-state-warriors\">accused<\/a> the former CEO of the exchange, former Alameda Research head Caroline Ellison and the NBA\u2019s Golden State Warriors of deceptive advertising.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, U.S. authorities <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-regulators-investigations-into-ftx-come-to-light\">have begun investigations<\/a> into the bitcoin exchange.
