This was stated by Geth client developer Marius van der Wijden.<\/p>\n<p>In a conversation with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/189496\/ethereum-client-teams-test-staking-withdrawals-on-devnet\">The Block<\/a>, van der Wijden noted that the devnet launch will help prepare the blockchain for the rollout of the withdrawal function. It is planned to be integrated in 2023 as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/why-the-merge-didnt-solve-ethereums-scaling-problem\">Shanghai<\/a> update.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis is the first devnet that allows withdrawing assets on all implementations, and it is a big step forward. It will also help developers of other clients verify their implementations by joining the network,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to van der Wijden, alongside the Geth team, developers Lodestar, Teku, Lighthouse, Nethermind and Prysm joined the testing.<\/p>\n<p>On November 24, Liam Horn, head of OP Labs (behind <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-optimism-op\">Optimism<\/a>) also said that the core Ethereum development team would discuss the possibility of integrating into the blockchain the proposal <a href=\"https:\/\/eips.ethereum.org\/EIPS\/eip-4844\">EIP-4844<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Reminder: EIP-4844 adds a new fee market to ethereum for short-lived data. He also stressed that the initiative does not mean that the improvement will be included in the Shanghai update.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2022, Vitalik Buterin published <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/vitalik-buterin-unveils-updated-ethereum-development-roadmap\">an updated Ethereum development roadmap<\/a>.
