The financially troubled crypto lender Genesis Global Capital has hired investment bank Moelis & Company to study options, including bankruptcy. The New York Times reports, citing its own sources.<\/p>\n

According to them, a final decision has not yet been made, and the company still has options to avoid filing for bankruptcy.<\/p>\n

As the outlet recalled, in July the investment bank advised the crypto broker Voyager Digital to pursue bankruptcy.<\/p>\n

“We began talks with potential investors and our largest creditors and debtors, including Gemini and DCG<\/span>. In the coming days we intend to intensify these discussions,” said acting Genesis CEO Derar Islim in a memo to clients, noting the role of Moelis in the process.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Among other advisers to the crypto lender are auditing firm Alvarez & Marsal and law firm Cleary Gottlieb.<\/p>\n
