The request was filed prior to the suspension of crypto-lending operations after<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ftx-group-files-for-bankruptcy-sam-bankman-fried-resigns-as-ceo\"> the collapse of FTX<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, Nansen <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/nansen-reconstructs-timeline-and-identifies-the-root-cause-of-the-ftx-collapse\">discovered<\/a> a $1.6 billion infusion from Alameda Research in September 2021 from Genesis Global Capital backed by FTX utility tokens. The decline in the value of the latter led to the insolvency of Sam Bankman-Fried&#8217;s firms.<\/p>\n<p>According to ArchPublic co-founder Andrew Perrish, Galaxy Digital&#8217;s and Grayscale&#8217;s refusal to back a major prime broker Genesis Global Capital signals serious problems across the crypto ecosystem. He compared the OTC platform to major investment banks Goldman Sachs and UBS.<\/p>\n<p>Experts pointed to liquidity problems facing any crypto startup and the difficulties facing DCG as a whole. He suggested that the next &#8216;act&#8217; could be Grayscale, and that it would be &#8216;more serious than the collapse of Three Arrows Capital&#8217;.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">More DCG turndowns. As of November 18 the discount to NAV stood at 45%, <span class=\"old_tooltip\" data-descr=\"assets under management\">AUM<\/span> \u2014 $10.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>One user ODELL said that in a pitch to potential DCG investors, &#8216;if you do not save us we will take you down with us.&#8217;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">DCG\u2019s pitch is \u00abif you do not save us we will take the you down with us.\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>That is not the case though. DCG provided support, taking on certain obligations.<\/p>\n<p>In August, Genesis Global Capital chief Michael Moro left the company after seven years, six of them as CEO.
