The fund will help these projects make a smooth migration from the affected platform.<\/p>\n<p>According to Crypto Fund Research, losses of cryptocurrency funds due to the FTX bankruptcy could amount to <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/experts-estimate-the-scale-of-crypto-funds-losses-after-the-ftx-collapse\">up to $5 billion<\/a>. The crisis has affected 25-40% of industry investment vehicles that invested in FTX or its utility token FTT.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on November 6, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/alameda-research-says-it-would-buy-ftt-from-binance-at-22-per-token\">stated<\/a> that the company aimed to divest the FTT token. Assets together with BUSD totaling about $2.1 billion were the result of the company&#8217;s exit from its portfolio investment in the platform.<\/p>\n<p>On November 8, Sam Bankman-Fried and Zhao<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/binance-chief-changpeng-zhao-announces-purchase-of-ftx\"> announced a strategic partnership<\/a>, but on November 10 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/binance-abandons-bid-for-ftx-justin-sun-says-he-will-help-find-a-solution\">Binance declined to acquire FTX<\/a>. The company said it could not resolve the platform&#8217;s problems.<\/p>\n<p>According to Bloomberg and WSJ, the platform&#8217;s balance sheet shortfall amounted to <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bloomberg-and-wsj-report-an-8-billion-hole-in-ftx-balance-sheet\">$8 billion<\/a>. However Reuters reported a larger figure \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/tether-freezes-46-37-million-usdt-held-for-ftx-at-authorities-request\">$9.4 billion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On November 11 FTX Group <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ftx-group-files-for-bankruptcy-sam-bankman-fried-resigns-as-ceo\">filed for bankruptcy<\/a>. Sam Bankman-Fried stepped down as CEO.<\/p>\n<p>American regulators <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/us-regulators-investigations-into-ftx-come-to-light\">began examining<\/a> ties between FTX and its US subsidiary and Alameda Research.
