The KFC fast-food chain sent customers in Germany a push notification urging them to \\”indulge in crispy chicken\\” on the anniversary of Kristallnacht. This is reported by The Verge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\\”Kristallnacht,\\” or the \\”Night of Broken Glass\\” \u2014 a brutal, coordinated antisemitic<\/span> attack by the Nazis that occurred on 9\u201310 November 1938. SA<\/span> units and civilians destroyed thousands of Jewish businesses, homes, synagogues, shops and schools, killed more than 90 people and sent about 30,000 others to concentration camps.<\/p>\n

Many consider it<\/a> the start of the Holocaust.<\/p>\n

On the eve of the 84th anniversary of the tragedy, customers received a promotional message from KFC:<\/p>\n

\\”This is the day of remembrance [\\u201cNacht der Reichspogromnacht\\u201d]! Treat yourself to a creamier cheese on the crispy chicken. Now in KFCheese!\\”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Many customers expressed indignation.<\/p>\n
