{"id":69797,"date":"2022-11-09T13:59:58","date_gmt":"2022-11-09T11:59:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=69797"},"modified":"2025-09-07T22:08:06","modified_gmt":"2025-09-07T19:08:06","slug":"ncsoft-becomes-partner-of-sui-developer-after-15-million-investment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/ncsoft-becomes-partner-of-sui-developer-after-15-million-investment\/","title":{"rendered":"NCsoft Becomes Partner of Sui Developer After $15 Million Investment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mysten Labs, the Web3-startup behind the blockchain project Sui <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-web3\">Web3<\/a>-startup, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20221108005285\/en\/Leading-Global-Gaming-Company-NCSOFT-Partners-With-Mysten-Labs\">announced<\/a> a strategic partnership with the South Korean developer and publisher of online games NCsoft.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1997, the company is best known for game franchises such as Lineage, Aion, Guild Wars and Blade &#038; Soul.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the collaboration, NCsoft invested $15 million in Mysten during the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/former-meta-employees-startup-mysten-labs-raises-300m-from-ftx-ventures-and-other-investors\">Series B financing round of $300 million<\/a>, announced in September. The round was led by FTX Ventures, and the startup&#8217;s valuation reached $2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the partners will explore opportunities for jointly creating entertainment applications built on the Sui blockchain. The network was Mysten&#8217;s first product, launched in 2021 by former Meta employees who worked on the Diem project.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cTranslating games to Web3 requires infrastructure that can support millions of gamers, while allowing them to own and interact with fully on-chain, dynamic, and composable digital assets,\u201d said co-founder and CTO Sam Blacksher.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In his words, \u201cthe scalability and object-oriented architecture of Sui\u201d make the blockchain a natural choice for developers aiming to \u201ccreate densely populated games.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cBlockchain technology can create new and innovative experiences for players.
