This wallet managed the RBC\/BRBC bridge and staking rewards.<\/p>\n<p>We suspect it was malicious software that was used to get access to the admin wallet&#8217;s private keys.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rubic (@CryptoRubic) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CryptoRubic\/status\/1587704548688367619?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 2, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>According to the developers, the compromised wallet controlled the RBC\/BRBC bridge and staking rewards.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe suspect it was malicious software that was used to gain access to private keys,\u201d they noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The attacker sold around 34 million RBC and BRBC tokens worth more than $1.2 million on decentralized platforms Uniswap and PancakeSwap. The hacker&#8217;s wallet still holds <a href=\"https:\/\/bscscan.com\/address\/0xD2D113d7b5c4F8FB4A68cEDa26F894F0fE25F24a\">205 BNB<\/a> (over $65,000) and <a href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/address\/0xD2D113d7b5c4F8FB4A68cEDa26F894F0fE25F24a\">138 ETH<\/a> (over $214,000).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hey Rubic team, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MistTrack_io?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@MistTrack_io<\/a>, the stolen assets are still on the hacker&#8217;s address.
