This was stated by Thailand&#8217;s central bank governor Setaput Sutivartnarueput, reports <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.bangkokpost.com\/business\/2425257\/bank-of-thailand-continues-push-for-digital-currency\\\"> The Bangkok Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the governor, as a result the launch could be postponed by up to five years.<\/p>\n<p>The central bank assesses the positive and negative properties<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-central-bank-digital-currency-cbdc\"> CBDC<\/a> in comparison with the country\u2019s leading payments platform PromptPay.
