This, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/binance-hires-compliance-chief-from-crypto-rival-kraken-11663925403\">reports<\/a> Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n<p>Christie has worked in the crypto industry since 2015. Previously, he held the post of head of the compliance department at Bitcoin custodian Xapo Bank.<\/p>\n<p>According to Binance, its compliance team, including the cyber-investigations unit, currently numbers more than 750 people.<\/p>\n<p>Kraken plans to hire a new director of regulatory compliance in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier it became known that the exchange&#8217;s co-founder <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/jesse-powell-to-step-down-as-kraken-chief-executive\">Jess Powell<\/a> would leave the post of CEO.
