Its liabilities to 200 counterparties are estimated at $500 million, and assets range from $100 million to $500 million.<\/p>\n<p>CEO Dave Perrill resigned but remains on the board.<\/p>\n<p>The firm is drafting a plan to restructure its operations.<\/p>\n<p>Compute North cited the ongoing bear market and rising energy costs as the reason for the decision.<\/p>\n<p>Marathon Digital, the company that uses Compute North&#8217;s infrastructure, said it continues to operate normally.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Today, a filing related to one of our hosting providers was published. The filing was submitted in April. At that time the company operated three facilities in Texas, Nebraska and South Dakota with a combined capacity of 100 MW.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2022, Compute North<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/compute-north-raises-385-million-to-expand-mining-infrastructure-in-the-united-states\"> raised $385 million<\/a> to expand its mining infrastructure in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Arcane Research analysts noted that the fall in Bitcoin&#8217;s price and rising hash rate <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/experts-forecast-a-decline-in-mining-profitability\"> will put pressure on the profitability of cryptocurrency mining<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In June, experts noted that mining profitability<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/arcane-research-bitcoin-mining-profitability-falls-to-2020-levels\"> had fallen to 2020 levels<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some companies were forced to cut Bitcoin reserves. In July<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/in-july-public-miners-continued-to-liquidate-bitcoin-reserves\"> the trend continued<\/a>.
