It includes high-ranking former officials from various countries.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We can now officially share the names of the experts who form the new <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Binance?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Binance<\/a> Global Advisory Board.<\/p>\n<p>This collaboration highlights our commitment to compliance, transparency and ensuring a collaborative, trusting relationship with the world\u2019s regulators.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/u7m0kWn00a\">https:\/\/t.co\/u7m0kWn00a<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CZ \ud83d\udd36 Binance (@cz_binance) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cz_binance\/status\/1572881058181300225?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 22, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;This collaboration underscores our commitment to regulatory compliance, transparency, and to fostering collaborative, trusting relationships with global regulators,&#8221;<\/em> \u2014 explained Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The council will be led by<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/binance-hires-former-u-s-senator-as-regulatory-affairs-adviser\"> Max Baucus<\/a>, former chairman of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and U.S. ambassador to China.<\/p>\n<p>Also, members include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>David Wright, former Secretary General of the International Organization of Securities Commissions;<\/li>\n<li>Bruno Le Maire, former French finance minister and former adviser on economic affairs to the prime minister of the country;<\/li>\n<li>David Plouffe, campaign manager for former U.S. President Barack Obama;<\/li>\n<li>Ed Vaizey, member of the British House of Lords, former Minister for Culture and Digital Economy;<\/li>\n<li>Henrique de Campos Meirelles, former Brazilian economy minister and former head of the country\u2019s Central Bank;<\/li>\n<li>Christine Shefer, former Deutsche Bank top executive and member of Germany\u2019s Data Ethics Commission;<\/li>\n<li>Adalberto Palma G\u00f3mez, former head of Mexico\u2019s Banking and Securities Commission;<\/li>\n<li>Ibukun Awosika, former chair of First Bank of Nigeria;<\/li>\n<li>Hengrin Bang, former executive at Samsung and Hyundai;<\/li>\n<li>Leslie Maasdorp, vice-president and chief financial officer of the New Development Bank, who previously worked in the South African government, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Barclays.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The council will advise the company on regulatory, political and social issues.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;Many will wonder why we are forming a global advisory council now. The answer is simple and obvious.
