Transaction volume reached 3.73 million ETHW. The number of addresses stands at 254.5 million.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The project, advanced by a group of miners led by Chandler Gu, is designed to preserve the ability to mine the \u201coriginal Ether\u201d on the chain using the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus algorithm after Ethereum&#8217;s transition to <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/proof-of-stake-how-it-works-and-why-it-is-so-popular\">Proof-of-Stake<\/a> (PoS).<\/p>\n<p>The network, the second-largest by market capitalization, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ethereum-activates-the-merge-blockchain-shifts-to-pos\">successfully migrated<\/a> on September 15 at 09:42 (Kyiv\/Moscow time). Around 17:00, the ETHW developers published the main network identifiers.<\/p>\n<p>Users reported difficulties accessing the network. Among the latest they cited the successful switch of the network identifier from the Ethereum value.<\/p>\n<p>Against the backdrop, ETHW\u2019s token price over the day fell by almost 68% to $13.26. He urged abandoning the project and joining mining of <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-ethereum-classic-and-the-etc-cryptocurrency\">Ethereum Classic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After Ethereum&#8217;s migration to PoS, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ethereum-classic-hash-rate-jumps-70-amid-the-merge\">the ETC network&#8217;s hash rate grew<\/a> from about 65 TH\/s to 290 TH\/s.
