This was stated by Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Eth 2.0 requires Shanghai which is next year minimum by their own release schedule. Do you understand that nothing has changed?\u201d<\/em> \u2014 he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Hoskinson reacted to the irony of a user who reminded the founder<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-cardano-ada\"> Cardano<\/a> of his forecast that<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-ethereum-2-0\"> Ethereum 2.0<\/a> was expected in 2024. He made clear that the expectations concerned the final product, and the merge was merely another step toward it.<\/p>\n<p>Activation<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ethereums-move-to-proof-of-stake-pos-what-you-need-to-know\"> The Merge<\/a> lays the groundwork for the next upgrade \u2014 Surge. The latter will enable Ethereum to process <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/buterin-foresees-ethereum-throughput-of-100000-tps\">up to 100,000 transactions per second<\/a> thanks to the technology <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-sharding\">sharding<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hoskinson also expressed concern that Proof-of-Stake would be perceived as a consensus mechanism <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/nansen-four-platforms-control-more-than-61-of-staked-ethereum\">with high centralisation<\/a>, which does not reflect reality with regard to Cardano.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cThe era begins when everyone thinks that all PoS work the same as how it is implemented in Ethereum.
