You will be stuck in an incompatible chain under the old rules and you will not be able to send ether or operate on the network after the merge,&#8221; noted the Ethereum Foundation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The merge is expected to happen around Sep 13-15. What\u2019s happening today is the Bellatrix hard fork, which *prepares* the chain for the merge.
