According to the statement, the funding was split evenly between the two investors.<\/p>\n<p>The funds will be used to secure licenses for popular IP assets, develop internal capabilities, and promote Web3.<\/p>\n<p>The Hong Kong firm is the publisher of a number of games such as <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-sandbox-sand\">The Sandbox<\/a>, Crazy Kings and Crazy Defense Heroes, as well as IP-based digital products. Animoca Brands owns several subsidiaries, including Blowfish Studios, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/animoca-brands-nft-platform-quidd-raises-5m\">Quidd<\/a>, GAMEE, nWay, Pixowl, Forj, Lympo, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/animoca-brands-acquires-game-developer-grease-monkey-games\">Grease Monkey Games<\/a>, Darewise, Notre Game and TinyTap.<\/p>\n<p>The firm actively invests in Web3 projects. Its portfolio includes more than 340 positions, among which <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/axie-infinity-team-raises-150-million-from-binance-and-other-investors\">Axie Infinity<\/a>, OpenSea, Dapper Labs (NBA Top Shot), Yield Guild Games, Harmony, Alien Worlds, Star Atlas and others.<\/p>\n<p>In early 2022, Animoca Brands <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/animoca-brands-raises-358-9-million-at-a-5-billion-valuation\">raised $358.9 million<\/a> at a $5 billion valuation; in July \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/animoca-brands-raises-us75-32m-at-a-us5-9bn-valuation\">$75.32 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In spring <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/animoca-brands-acquires-eden-games\">the operator acquired the game developer<\/a> Eden Games. The deal was worth $16 million.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts at Messari and Dove Metrics <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/venture-investment-in-the-industry-in-the-first-half-tops-30-billion\">estimated the volume of funding for blockchain startups<\/a> for January\u2013June 2022 at $30.3 billion.
