Binance has received preliminary approval to operate a digital assets platform and provide custody services in the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). ForkLog reported representatives of the bitcoin exchange said.<\/p>\n

The license was issued by the AIFC Committee for Regulation of Financial Services. Binance will complete the full licensing application process in the near future.<\/p>\n

Thereafter, the exchange will be able to provide its services as an operator of the digital assets platform and as a custodian services provider in the AIFC.<\/p>\n

“This step again demonstrates Binance’s commitment to operating as a compliance-oriented exchange and to providing products and services in a safe and well-regulated global environment,” said CEO Changpeng Zhao.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Earlier in April, the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of Kazakhstan announced<\/a> the launch of a pilot project to create and develop cryptocurrency exchanges.<\/p>\n
