He has filed a claim against five cryptocurrency exchanges (Binance, Poloniex, Gate.io, OKX and Butkub), as well as a group of unknown individuals who misappropriated his digital assets.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>&#8220;The statement concerns the misappropriation of Mr. D\u2019Aloya\u2019s cryptocurrency by unknown individuals operating a fraudulent clone of an online broker, encouraging investors to deposit assets into two wallets so that they could be used to perform &#8216;trades'&#8221;, the company said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The court ruled that service of the claim could be effected by transferring to the cryptocurrency wallets, over which Mr. D\u2019Aloya has lost control, the corresponding NFTs. According to the lawyers, this enables the proceedings to be initiated even when the identity of the alleged defendant is not known.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>&#8220;This decision opens up to other fraud victims the possibility of pursuing unknown individuals who misappropriated their cryptocurrency in situations where they otherwise could not do so.
