{"id":64167,"date":"2022-07-08T18:09:00","date_gmt":"2022-07-08T15:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=64167"},"modified":"2025-09-06T12:51:16","modified_gmt":"2025-09-06T09:51:16","slug":"grayscale-adjusts-the-composition-of-several-crypto-funds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/grayscale-adjusts-the-composition-of-several-crypto-funds\/","title":{"rendered":"Grayscale adjusts the composition of several crypto funds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Grayscale Investments <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/en\/news-release\/2022\/07\/08\/2476578\/0\/en\/Grayscale-Digital-Large-Cap-Fund-Grayscale-DeFi-Fund-and-Grayscale-Smart-Contract-Platform-Ex-Ethereum-Fund-Announce-Rebalancing-of-Funds-for-Second-Quarter-2022.html\">\u043f\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0435\u043b\u0430<\/a> a rebalance of its crypto trusts across several assets in line with market conditions at the end of the second quarter.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the adjustment, <span data-descr=\"based on CoinDesk's largest-cap index\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Digital Large Cap Fund<\/span> removed Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink, Litecoin, Polkadot and Uniswap from the fund.<\/p>\n<p>As of July 7, the trust&#8217;s basket consisted of:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bitcoin (BTC) \u2014 68.88%;<\/li>\n<li>Ethereum (ETH) \u2014 25.22%;<\/li>\n<li>Cardano (ADA) \u2014 2.71%;<\/li>\n<li>Solana (SOL) \u2014 2.23%;<\/li>\n<li>Avalanche (AVAX) \u2014 0.96%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The DeFi Fund&#8217;s rebalancing against the CoinDesk DeFi Index benchmark led to the removal of Yearn Finance (YFI). As of June 6, the trust&#8217;s asset basket included:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Uniswap (UNI) \u2014 56.35%;<\/li>\n<li>MakerDAO (MKR) \u2014 13.49%;<\/li>\n<li>Aave (AAVE) \u2014 12.44%;<\/li>\n<li>Curve DAO Token (CRV) \u2014 7.48%;<\/li>\n<li>Amp (AMP) \u2014 5.52%;<\/li>\n<li>Compound (COMP) \u2014 4.72%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From the <span data-descr=\"based on smart-contract platform tokens (excluding Ethereum)\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Smart Contract Platform Ex-Ethereum Fund<\/span> (GSCPxE), the company removed Stellar Lumens (XLM). As a result, the trust&#8217;s composition is now:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cardano (ADA) \u2014 1.69%;<\/li>\n<li>Solana (SOL) \u2014 25.43%;<\/li>\n<li>Polkadot (DOT) \u2014 13.90%;<\/li>\n<li>Avalanche (AVAX) \u2014 10.87%;<\/li>\n<li>Polygon (MATIC) \u2014 8.45%;<\/li>\n<li>Cosmos (ATOM) \u2014 5.29%;<\/li>\n<li>Algorand (ALGO) \u2014 4.37%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Grayscale noted that none of the rebalanced investment vehicles added new tokens; the number of assets in them has only decreased.<\/p>\n<p>The Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) remains the most popular, with assets under management of about $13 billion.
