The Moon Tech Spain division has registered with the country&#8217;s central bank.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Hola Espana! \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddf8<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Binance?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Binance<\/a> has been granted registration as a Virtual Asset Services Provider (VASP) for its Spanish subsidiary by the Bank of Spain.<\/p>\n<p>This will allow Binance to offer crypto asset exchange &#038; custody in Spain in compliance with the central bank\u2019s AML &#038; CTF rules.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Binance (@binance) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/binance\/status\/1545339180066160644?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 8, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The company can offer services across Spain in full compliance with the rules of <span data-descr=\"anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing\" class=\"old_tooltip\">AML and CTF<\/span>. The regulator will also monitor compliance with standards of commercial and professional reputation.<\/p>\n<p>The filing began on 28 January.<\/p>\n<p>Spain became the third EU jurisdiction after <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/binance-poluchila-litsenziyu-amf-dlya-torgovli-tsifrovymi-aktivami\/\">\u0424\u0440\u0430\u043d\u0446\u0438\u0438<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/binance-poluchila-litsenziyu-provajdera-tsifrovyh-aktivov-v-italii\/\"> \u0418\u0442\u0430\u043b\u0438\u0438<\/a>, where Binance also received approval from local regulators.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2021, CEO Changpeng Zhao <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.io\/chanpen-chzhao-binance-otkazalas-ot-detsentralizovannoj-modeli-biznesa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u0441\u043e\u043e\u0431\u0449\u0438\u043b<\/a> about abandoning the \u201cdecentralized\u201d business model.
