{"id":63785,"date":"2022-07-01T14:56:33","date_gmt":"2022-07-01T11:56:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=63785"},"modified":"2025-09-06T10:51:38","modified_gmt":"2025-09-06T07:51:38","slug":"vaneck-files-new-bid-for-spot-bitcoin-etf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/vaneck-files-new-bid-for-spot-bitcoin-etf\/","title":{"rendered":"VanEck files new bid for spot Bitcoin ETF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>VanEck <a href=\"https:\/\/cdn.cboe.com\/resources\/regulation\/rule_filings\/pending\/2022\/SR-CboeBZX-2022-035.pdf\">filed an application<\/a> to launch an exchange-traded fund (<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/chto-takoe-bitkoin-etf\/\">ETF<\/a>) based on the first cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>The firm&#8217;s previous application was rejected by the <span data-descr=\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SEC<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/sec-otklonila-zayavku-vaneck-na-zapusk-spotovogo-bitkoin-etf\/\">in November 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, the regulator cited deficiencies in investor-protection safeguards, as well as the requirements to prevent fraudulent and manipulative acts.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cApproval of the proposal would provide access to Bitcoin and would avoid reliance on either defective or on regulated products in other countries\u201d<\/em>, \u2014 according to the VanEck Bitcoin Trust filing.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The firm noted that a positive verdict would be logical after the authorization of a Bitcoin futures ETF. That instrument from VanEck <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/sec-odobrila-fyuchersnye-bitkoin-etf-ot-vaneck-i-valkyrie-investments\/\">got approval<\/a> in October 2021. It was the third listed in the United States after products from <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/sec-odobrila-pervyj-fyuchersnyj-bitkoin-etf\/\">ProShares<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/sec-odobrila-fyuchersnye-bitkoin-etf-ot-vaneck-i-valkyrie-investments\/\">Valkyrie Investments<\/a>, listing in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Jacobi Asset Management <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/jacobi-asset-management-secures-bitcoin-etf-listing-on-euronext-amsterdam\">received a listing<\/a> of a spot Bitcoin ETF on Euronext in Amsterdam.
