For comparison, in <span data-descr=\"in this context: the generation born between 1966 and 1981\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Gen X<\/span> there were 32%, and among <span data-descr=\"in this context: the generation born between 1958 and 1965\" class=\"old_tooltip\">boomers<\/span> \u2014 14%.<\/p>\n<p>Cryptocurrencies attract millennials due to their potential for high returns. However knowledge about alternative investments is limited across all generations surveyed \u2013 only one in five respondents understand them.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;In a world of conspicuous consumption, rapidly rising costs of living and growing debt from loans, millennials find it hard to invest in the future because they struggle to afford the present,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Among other high-popularity alternative investments for millennials are also real estate (77%), innovative funds (67%), venture capital and angel investing (55%).<\/p>\n<p>The online survey was conducted among 2,000 non-retired residents of the United States. Of them, 1,200 were millennials, 400 \u2014 Gen X and 400 \u2014 baby boomers.
