The cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBIT announced the launch of trading in Bitcoin perpetual futures. ForkLog was informed of this by platform representatives.<\/p>\n

All registered users now have access to the new instrument.<\/p>\n

Futures contracts guarantee that the holder will acquire the specified amount of the asset at a set time for a pre-agreed price. They also enable trading digital assets without owning them and profit from the difference between the fixed price and the future price.<\/p>\n

A funding mechanism is used to keep prices in line. Only users with open positions participate in it.<\/p>\n

“The rate is calculated based on the difference between futures and spot prices. The data is updated every eight hours,” WhiteBIT said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The exchange will also introduce a unified collateral balance to back margin and futures trading.<\/p>\n

Earlier in June, thanks to a partnership with WhiteBIT, the Ukrainian charity ‘Tabletochky’ expanded options for cryptocurrency donations.<\/p>\n
