It would make sense to integrate payments into Twitter, to allow easy sending of money back and forth,\u201d the billionaire said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In late April, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX agreed to <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-to-buy-twitter-for-44-billion-as-dogecoin-jumps-24\">purchase Twitter for $44 billion<\/a>. The takeover offer Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-proposes-over-43-billion-to-buy-twitter\">made to the company&#8217;s leadership in the middle of the month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The entrepreneur <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-explains-why-he-wants-to-buy-twitter\">explained<\/a> his intention as a desire to create \u201can inclusive arena for freedom of speech,\u201d rather than a desire to make money.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, Twitter&#8217;s board of directors <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/twitter-board-adopts-poison-pill-plan-to-defend-against-elon-musks-takeover\">took the proposal negatively<\/a>, but then <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/media-twitter-revisits-elon-musks-takeover-bid\">reconsidered its position<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the billionaire <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/elon-musk-halts-twitter-acquisition\">paused the acquisition process<\/a> due to reports of inflated audience metrics for the social network. During the remarks he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/06\/16\/elon-musk-is-addressing-twitter-employees-live-updates-from-the-meeting.html\">said<\/a> that the number of daily active users should reach 1 million per day. In the first quarter, their number was 229 million.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2021, the social network added the ability <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/twitter-enables-bitcoin-tips-for-creators-via-lightning-network\">to send donations in Bitcoin<\/a>.
