At the same time, Powell announced the Jet Ski Program, which offers dissenting employees a four-month severance.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/06\/15\/technology\/kraken-crypto-culture.html\">\u0434\u0430\u043d\u043d\u044b\u043c<\/a> New York Times, in discussions on the corporate Slack messenger Powell allegedly objected to employees&#8217; use of preferred pronouns, discussed the admissibility of racial insults, and stated that American women had &#8216;brainwashed minds&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>In the same chat, Kraken CEO Christina Yi wrote that &#8216;the CEO, the company and the corporate culture will not change substantially,&#8217; the Times reports.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8216;If someone doesn&#8217;t like working here or thinks that they are hated here, work somewhere where you don&#8217;t feel revulsion,&#8217; she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Employees have until June 20 to decide whether they will continue to work with the exchange.<\/p>\n<p>On Twitter, Jesse Powell wrote that 20 people have already expressed unequivocal disagreement with the program, though their departure will not affect the company&#8217;s performance.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">1\/ We recently attempted to summarize what the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/krakenfx?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@krakenfx<\/a> culture has been over the past 11 years, and what we hope it continues to be.<\/p>\n<p>We had a few heated debates and it turns out we have about 20 people out of 3200 who are totally not on board. \ud83d\udc47\ud83e\uddf5<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ht6bagQ6T1\">https:\/\/t.co\/Ht6bagQ6T1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jesse Powell (@jespow) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jespow\/status\/1536978821345292288?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 15, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8216;Diversity is not always easy. You want to be &#8216;inclusive&#8217; by asking a candidate for an English teaching position in Saudi Arabia about his pronouns or gender in an interview?&#8217;, \u2013 asked the Kraken CEO.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He added that most of the exchange&#8217;s staff &#8216;just want to work&#8217; without taking part in &#8216;debates and therapy sessions,&#8217; so the company will continue to improve pre-employment screening.<\/p>\n<p>Kraken currently employs more than 3,000 people.
