On June 1, the Singapore-based crypto-derivatives exchange Bitget.com<\/a> named Grace Chen to the role of managing director, according to the platform’s press release.<\/p>\n

The appointment comes amid rising popularity of Bitget and leadership’s plan to enter new markets. The platform reported a record daily derivative trading volume of $8.69 billion, up 300% versus 2021.<\/p>\n

Grace Chen previously worked as a producer for Phoenix TV’s technology and finance channel, one of China’s largest media conglomerates. She later joined XRSPACE, a Taiwanese company specialising in virtual-reality and metaverse technologies, where she headed the marketing and business development division and oversaw government and public relations.<\/p>\n

At Bitget, Chen will oversee growth and expansion of global markets, strategy, execution and corporate development. She will also work on increasing brand recognition and its presence in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.<\/p>\n
