On April 17, he purchased this NFT for 100 ETH.<\/p>\n<p>Moonbirds is a collection of 10,000 owl avatars, launched on April 16 by the startup Proof. The latter was founded by True Ventures partner Kevin Rose.<\/p>\n<p>According to The Block Research, in roughly a week Moonbirds NFT sales totaled nearly $360 million. Analyst Thomas Bialek explained this by Rose&#8217;s support, the success of his previous project Proof Collective, and collectors&#8217; behavior who began to favor non-fungible tokens with a proven track record.<\/p>\n<p>According to OpenSea, the current minimum price of a Moonbirds token is 33.3 ETH. The minting cost for Proof was 2.5 ETH per unit.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, philosopher and author of the cult work &#8220;The Black Swan&#8221; Nassim Taleb suggested that the NFT market <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/nassim-taleb-nft-market-set-to-burst-as-fed-raises-interest-rates\">will collapse<\/a> amid tightening of <span data-descr=\"U.S. Federal Reserve\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Fed<\/span>&#8216;s monetary policy.<\/p>\n<p>In April, reports emerged that The Sandbox planned to close a financing round of <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bloomberg-the-sandbox-plans-to-raise-400-million-at-a-4-billion-valuation\">on $400 million<\/a>.
