The vehicle will focus on investments in crypto networks, Web3 startups, DeFi and blockchain gaming.<\/p>\n<p><span data-descr=\"Anchor investor\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Anchor investor<\/span> DAF II was led by the gaming giant Ubisoft.<\/p>\n<p>The fund plans to deploy between $1 million and $7 million into tokens and equity across 20-25 companies, mainly in North America, Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe DAF investment team uses a deeply research-driven approach, applying both crypto-industry\u2013inherent and traditional venture-capital assessment methods to collaborate with startups in seed rounds, Series A financing and token sales,\u201d the press release states.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The first DAF, since its inception in 2020, has invested in 20 companies, including Ledn, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/alex-startup-raises-5-8-million-to-build-a-defi-platform-on-bitcoin\">ALEX<\/a>, Multis, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/paraswap-a-decentralised-exchange-raises-3-million-in-funding\">ParaSwap<\/a>, Exlusible and Rally.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWith the new fund, we expect to continue supporting a new generation of forward-thinking founders building tomorrow&#8217;s companies for Web 3.0, DeFi and gaming, as they unlock a new \u201cinternet of value\u201d for billions of people around the world,\u201d said Sep Alavi, managing partner of DAF II.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Uniswap Labs <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/uniswap-labs-launches-venture-arm-for-web-3-0-investments\">created a venture arm<\/a> for investments in Web 3.0.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Venture firm White Star Capital has attracted $150 million for its second Digital Asset Fund (DAF II).
