Publicly traded mining companies account for 19% of the total Bitcoin hash rate. This is stated in the Arcane Research report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Analysts note that the share of such miners was only 3% in January 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf in January 2021 there were only a few mining companies listed on exchanges, there are now 26,\u201d the experts noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Among the reasons for the increase in the share of total hash rate, researchers cited \u201cgood access to capital,\u201d enabling publicly listed mining companies to expand capacity.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cA large portion of the hash rate generated by public miners is attributed to North America,\u201d Arcane Research noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The researchers suggested that over time even more mining companies will come to the stock market. This will affect the hash rate structure.<\/p>\n

Earlier, analysts at the Norwegian firm forecast growth in computing power across individual publicly traded mining companies.<\/p>\n
