The information is contained in the official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microstrategy.com\/en\/investor-relations\/press\/silvergate-bank-issues-205-m-loan-to-macrostrategy-collateralized-by-bitcoin_03-29-2022\">press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The loan was extended by the American bank Silvergate. The loan\u2019s purpose is to purchase Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>MacroStrategy is not the only company using crypto assets as collateral.
