The head of the party \u0421\u0420\u0417\u041f<\/span>, a State Duma deputy, Sergey Mironov, has addressed the government, the Bank of Russia and the emergency sanctions-countermeasures headquarters with a proposal to legalise the digital ruble. REGNUM<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

According to Mironov, the aim of the initiative is to issue the Russian CBDC for specific purposes. For example, housing construction, development of manufacturing and transport infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe digital ruble should become for Russia a full-fledged investment and reserve currency,\u201d Mironov argues.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The deputy believes that a controlled issuance will provide the economy with funds without fuelling inflation.<\/p>\n

Digital rubles will be unable to be exported abroad or used for purposes other than their intended use, he added.<\/p>\n

As reported, the digital ruble, as the third form of money, is planned to be launched \u043a 2030 \u0433\u043e\u0434\u0443<\/a>. In mid-February, the Bank of Russia said it had begun testing the platform in cooperation with market participants.<\/p>\n
