{"id":58564,"date":"2022-03-07T12:27:24","date_gmt":"2022-03-07T10:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=58564"},"modified":"2025-09-04T17:24:29","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T14:24:29","slug":"ftx-announces-expansion-into-european-markets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/ftx-announces-expansion-into-european-markets\/","title":{"rendered":"FTX announces expansion into European markets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The cryptocurrency exchange FTX will expand its global footprint by entering the European market, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The company has created a subsidiary, FTX Europe, having obtained a license from the <span data-descr=\"CySEC\" class=\"old_tooltip\">the Cyprus financial regulator<\/span>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;As the company continues to grow, we are constantly seeking opportunities to obtain the appropriate licenses for each market we enter,&#8221; said Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO and founder of FTX.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The headquarters of the new entity is located in Switzerland, with regional representation in Cyprus. The exchange will offer clients the FTX suite of services, including derivatives.<\/p>\n<p>In January <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ftx-raises-400-million-at-a-32-billion-valuation\">FTX raised $400 million<\/a> following a Series C round.
