The hackers swapped erc20-token on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Uniswap?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Uniswap<\/a> and aggregated ether to this wallet :<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xKV2x9R0bt\">https:\/\/t.co\/xKV2x9R0bt<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wfNqthS2Yx\">pic.twitter.com\/wfNqthS2Yx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 PeckShieldAlert (@PeckShieldAlert) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PeckShieldAlert\/status\/1494583505329606657?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 18, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to PeckShield analysts, the attacker swapped ERC-20 tokens, including Route, Rio Fuel, MATIC, REVV, Clearpool and MAPS, for Ethereum on the Uniswap decentralised exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Sales volume exceeded $1 million; the hacker aggregated the funds in a single wallet. At the time of writing, the address held 2,459 ETH worth about $7.2 million.<\/p>\n<p>On 12 December AscendEX <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/hackers-drain-more-than-77-million-from-ascendex-hot-wallets\">confirmed<\/a> the breach of hot wallets on Ethereum, Polygon and the Binance Smart Chain.<\/p>\n<p>PeckShield estimated the damage at $77.7 million. The largest share of the stolen assets was in Ethereum network tokens \u2014 $60 million.<\/p>\n<p>AscendEX was founded in 2018 under the name BitMax. In March 2021 the company rebranded, and in November \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ascendex-raises-50-million-in-series-b-led-by-polychain-capital-and-hack-vc\">raised $50 million<\/a> from Polychain Capital, Hack VC and other investors.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, PeckShield experts <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/analysts-report-crypto-com-hack-company-denies-loss-of-funds\">reported a hack<\/a> of the Crypto.com cryptocurrency platform. The latter&#8217;s team said customer funds were safe, and withdrawals were paused due to &#8220;suspicious activity&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Two days later, Crypto.com <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/crypto-com-reveals-details-of-recent-hack-around-34-million-withdrawn-from-the-platform\">confirmed a breach of around 400 user accounts<\/a>. The loss was around $34 million.
