This is according to data from the <a href=\"https:\/\/nafi.ru\/analytics\/rossiyane-vse-chashche-slyshat-o-kriptovalyutakh-no-investirovat-v-nikh-poka-opasayutsya\/\">research<\/a> by the NAFI Analytical Center.<\/p>\n<p>The share of those who &#8216;in one way or another understand the topic of cryptocurrencies&#8217; has doubled\u2014from 11% in 2017 to 22% now.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of respondents are confident that Bitcoin&#8217;s price will rise over the next five years. However, many still fear investing in cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>35% of Russians who have heard of cryptocurrencies see them as a riskier investment than investments in securities.<\/p>\n<p>Experts noted that amateur investors view stock-market investments as more advantageous, while a large share of &#8216;professionals&#8217; regard investments in cryptocurrencies as the preferable option.<\/p>\n<p>19% believe that the risk and return of investments in cryptocurrencies and in securities are roughly the same.<\/p>\n<p>According to Investing.com&#8217;s survey, 46% of non-professional investors in Russia <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/survey-46-of-russian-retail-investors-view-cryptocurrencies-as-a-defensive-asset\">consider cryptocurrencies a safe-haven asset<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Follow ForkLog&#8217;s Bitcoin news on our Telegram \u2014 cryptocurrency news, prices and analytics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Public awareness of cryptocurrencies among residents of the Russian Federation has grown \u2014 over the last five years the share of Russians who have heard about Bitcoin rose from 16% to 67%.
