This was announced by Olga Skorobogatova, the first deputy chair of the Bank of Russia, <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.kommersant.ru\/amp\/5217518\\\">reports<\/a> Kommersant.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, in the second phase the new asset will be tested in interaction with the Federal Treasury and in the deployment of smart contracts.<\/p>\n<p>The prototype of the digital ruble platform was unveiled <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bank-of-russia-says-prototype-for-digital-ruble-platform-is-ready\">in December 2021<\/a>. Among the first testers were <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bank-of-russia-names-12-banks-to-be-first-to-test-the-digital-ruble\">12 banks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the first phase in January 2022, Promsvyazbank began <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/russian-banks-begin-testing-operations-with-the-digital-ruble\">piloting C2C payments<\/a> with the digital ruble.
