{"id":57447,"date":"2022-02-09T16:50:02","date_gmt":"2022-02-09T14:50:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=57447"},"modified":"2025-09-04T11:47:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T08:47:09","slug":"compute-north-raises-385-million-to-expand-mining-infrastructure-in-the-united-states","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/compute-north-raises-385-million-to-expand-mining-infrastructure-in-the-united-states\/","title":{"rendered":"Compute North raises $385 million to expand mining infrastructure in the United States"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Compute North, a provider of mining infrastructure solutions, <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.computenorth.com\/news_release\/compute-north-closes-385-million-in-strategic-funding-for-tier-0-computing-infrastructure\/\\\">attracted<\/a> $385 million to develop new data centres in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Of this amount, $85 million came from the Series C round led by Mercuria, Generate Capital and National Grid Partners.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>A further $300 million was secured by Compute North in the form of debt financing from Generate Capital, which participated in the investment round.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>The funds will be deployed to build new hosting facilities in the United States, in Nebraska, North Carolina and Texas. Founder and CEO Dave Perrill <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/post\/133602\/compute-north-raises-385-million-bitcoin-mining-infrastructure\\\">did not disclose<\/a> the quantity and technical specifications of the new data centres.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>According to him, several facilities are at different stages of readiness.<\/p>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>&#8220;We plan to share additional information about each facility as they come online,&#8221; Perrill said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>In July 2021, Compute North <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/compute-north-to-lift-bitcoin-mining-data-centre-capacity-to-1-2-gw\">announced the expansion of data-centre capacity to 1.2 GW<\/a> with the construction of five new facilities.
