It is something like a \u00abmini shard data fragment\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the first option requires minimal changes to support Ethereum clients <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ethereum-developers-drop-eth1-and-eth2-terminology\">\u00abexecution layer\u00bb<\/a>. The second approach entails more &#8216;sanitation-technical&#8217; work, but brings the network closer to &#8216;something compatible with full sharding&#8217;, Beiko noted.<\/p>\n<blockquote class='wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow'>\n<p>\u00abSome have proposed adding &#8216;blob-carrying transactions&#8217; to the upcoming hard fork, delivering higher scalability of Rollups packages until the completion of full sharding\u00bb, \u2014 <a href='https:\/\/twitter.com\/VitalikButerin\/status\/1489768250619559941'>\u043f\u0440\u043e\u043a\u043e\u043c\u043c\u0435\u043d\u0442\u0438\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0430\u043b <\/a>\u0411\u0443\u0442\u0435\u0440\u0438\u043d \u0442\u0432\u0438\u0442 \u0440\u0430\u0437\u0440\u0430\u0431\u043e\u0442\u0447\u0438\u043a\u0430 \u043e \u043f\u0435\u0440\u0432\u043e\u043c \u043f\u0440\u0435\u0434\u043b\u043e\u0436\u0435\u043d\u0438\u0438.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In his description of the solutions he confirmed that in the near- and mid-term, ZK-Rollups appear the only trustless <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/vitalik-buterin-explains-the-role-of-zk-rollups-in-ethereum-scalability\">\u00aba scaling solution for Ethereum\u00bb<\/a>. The technology can cut fees by roughly 3-8 times compared with the base layer. Better data compression in data packets could reduce fees by another 40-100 times, Buterin said. And he even said such a level would be too high for users.<\/p>\n<blockquote class='wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow'>\n<p>\u00abThis <span data-descr='Ethereum Improvement Proposal' class='old_tooltip'>EIP<\/span> serves as a stopgap until a certain point, implementing a transaction format that will be used when sharding, effectively not segmenting them\u00bb, \u2014 \u043f\u043e\u0434\u0447\u0435\u0440\u043a\u043d\u0443\u043b \u0411\u0443\u0442\u0435\u0440\u0438\u043d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Beiko said that developers could not assess the effort required to implement the proposed solutions or the viability of diverting resources to non-core and clearly temporary work.
