The deal will integrate Gemini&#8217;s trading and custody capabilities for digital assets with client portfolio management in a single interface.<\/p>\n<p>BITRIA&#8217;s functionality includes:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>creating and operating separately managed accounts (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/articles\/mutualfund\/08\/managed-separate-account.asp\">Separately Managed Account, SMA<\/a>);<\/li>\n<li>portfolio rebalancing;<\/li>\n<li>tax optimization (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/articles\/taxes\/08\/tax-loss-harvesting.asp\">tax-loss harvesting<\/a>);<\/li>\n<li>fee collection and invoicing;<\/li>\n<li>account planning;<\/li>\n<li>data connectivity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>Many advisers [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/r\/ria.asp\"><em>RIA<\/em><\/a>] currently have limited access to one or two cryptocurrencies through closed-end funds and spot crypto-ETFs in jurisdictions where they are available. Today we are opening access to the full ecosystem of digital assets for the asset-management community<\/em>, \u2014 said Dave Abner, Global Head of Business Development at Gemini.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fa-mag.com\/news\/ria-firms-top-record--110t-aum--60-million-clients--iaa-reports-62858.html\">Financial Advisor<\/a>, registered investment advisers in the U.S. serve 60 million clients with assets of $110 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in November 2021 ForkLog <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/gemini-to-raise-400-million-at-a-7-1-billion-valuation-to-compete-with-meta\">reported<\/a> that Gemini&#8217;s parent company planned to close a $400 million investment round at a $7.1 billion valuation.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier the company <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/gemini-acquires-shard-x-developer-of-secure-crypto-storage-solutions\">announced<\/a> the purchase of the Shard X<\/a>, developing secure cryptocurrency storage solutions based on a confidential computing protocol.<\/p>\n<p>In December investment adviser Ritholtz Wealth Management and asset manager WisdomTree Investments <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ritholtz-wealth-management-and-wisdomtree-launch-crypto-index\">announced<\/a> the launch of a crypto index.
