In addition to Bukele, participants will include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>MicroStrategy chief Michael Saylor;<\/li>\n<li>a leading representative of the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-austrian-school-of-economics\">\u0430\u0432\u0441\u0442\u0440\u0438\u0439\u0441\u043a\u043e\u0439 \u044d\u043a\u043e\u043d\u043e\u043c\u0438\u0447\u0435\u0441\u043a\u043e\u0439 \u0448\u043a\u043e\u043b\u044b<\/a> Saifedean Ammous;<\/li>\n<li>Blockstream CEO Adam Back;<\/li>\n<li>Lightning Labs founder Elizabeth Stark and other notable figures in the crypto industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Following <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/el-salvador-legalises-bitcoin-as-government-buys-550-btc\">the legalisation of Bitcoin<\/a> in September, the Salvadoran government purchased 550 BTC through <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/el-salvadors-parliament-approves-150-million-bitcoin-fund\">a specially created fund<\/a>. Subsequently <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/el-salvadors-government-buys-150-more-btc\">it bought 150 BTC<\/a> during the price dip to $45,000.<\/p>\n<p>In October, authorities boosted their reserves of the primary cryptocurrency by another <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/el-salvadors-state-bitcoin-fund-buys-an-additional-420-btc\">420 BTC<\/a>, again taking advantage of a local price correction. In November, the state fund <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/el-salvadors-bitcoin-fund-buys-100-more-btc\">purchased 100 BTC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>El Salvador also <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/el-salvador-begins-bitcoin-mining-on-volcano-powered-energy\">began mining cryptocurrency<\/a>, using geothermal volcanic energy.
