There\u2019s still a lot to do here, but I\u2019ve never been more optimistic about the future,&#8221; he wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>White had been at Bakkt since the platform&#8217;s founding in 2018, when he was appointed its chief operating officer. Prior to that, he served as vice president and head of Coinbase&#8217;s institutional business.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2021, Bakkt <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/bakkt-shares-to-begin-trading-on-the-new-york-stock-exchange\">became a publicly traded company<\/a>, completing a SPAC merger with VPC Impact Acquisition Holdings.
