{"id":54592,"date":"2021-12-13T16:31:28","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T14:31:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=54592"},"modified":"2025-09-03T21:12:22","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T18:12:22","slug":"gala-games-and-c%c2%b2-ventures-to-launch-a-100-million-fund-for-blockchain-gaming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/gala-games-and-c%c2%b2-ventures-to-launch-a-100-million-fund-for-blockchain-gaming\/","title":{"rendered":"Gala Games and C\u00b2 Ventures to launch a $100 million fund for blockchain gaming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Gala Games platform and venture firm C\u00b2 Ventures announced the launch of a $100 million fund to back game developers and new blockchain-based projects, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p>The fund\u2019s remit includes <span data-descr=\"gaming finance\" class=\"old_tooltip\">GameFi<\/span>, metaverses and other decentralized gaming solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Projects under its stewardship will also receive strategic guidance on non-fungible tokens, presale strategies, token design, in-game economies, marketing, community engagement, and monetization.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00b2 Ventures was founded by former top executive of Bitcoin exchange Huobi Global Ciara Sun.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Binance Smart Chain team and NFT-game operator Animoca Brands announced <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/animoca-brands-and-binance-smart-chain-invest-200-million-in-gamefi-development\">the launch of a blockchain accelerator<\/a> aimed at GameFi startups.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the investment firm Sfermion <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/alan-howard-and-cmt-digital-back-a-100m-metaverse-fund\">raised $100 million<\/a> to build a metaverse. For the same purpose, the Bitcoin exchange KuCoin <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/kucoin-launches-100-million-fund-to-invest-in-metaverses\">launched a $100 million fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In early November, the Hong Kong gaming platform The Sandbox closed <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/nft-project-the-sandbox-raises-93-million-to-build-a-metaverse\">a $93 million financing round<\/a>, led by SoftBank&#8217;s Vision Fund 2.
