According to the firm, the sample reflected the country&#8217;s gender, age and geographic distribution.<\/p>\n<p>89% of crypto investors earned from trading digital assets in 2021. In 2020, 78% reported a positive experience.<\/p>\n<p>89% of Australians have heard of Bitcoin. 36.7% had heard of Ethereum (23.5% a year ago), and Ripple \u2014 20.3% (13.5%).<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin appeared in the portfolios of 21.1% of respondents, Ethereum in 11%.<\/p>\n<p>The share of crypto investors among women rose over the year from 10.3% to 20%.<\/p>\n<p>Independent Reserve CEO Adrian Pshelozny in an interview with Cointelegraph predicted that the rise in crypto holders would continue as the industry matures and price volatility subsides.<\/p>\n<p>Among respondents who had not adopted cryptocurrencies, 28.6% said they would close the gap once consumer protection improved, 26.6% \u2014 if industry regulation is strengthened.<\/p>\n<p>In Pshelozny&#8217;s view, creating a regulatory framework similar to Singapore&#8217;s would attract more conservative investors, including residents over 65.<\/p>\n<p>Among Australians aged 24 to 34, 27.6% said their crypto investments were driven by the desire to earn money.<\/p>\n<p>As reported in Grayscale Investments&#8217; report, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/grayscale-26-of-american-investors-already-own-bitcoin\">26% of US investors have already invested in Bitcoin<\/a>, with more than half becoming holders in the last year.<\/p>\n<p>According to Pew Research Center data, since 2015 the share of American adults familiar with the first cryptocurrency <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/survey-finds-that-86-of-american-adults-have-heard-of-cryptocurrencies\">has increased from 48% to 86%<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Subscribe to ForkLog news on Telegram: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/forklogfeed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ForkLog Feed<\/a> \u2014 the full news stream, <a href=\"https:\/\/telegram.me\/forklog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ForkLog<\/a> \u2014 the most important news, infographics and opinions <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The share of Australian residents who bought or held crypto rose from 18.4% to 28.8% over the year, according to PureProfile\u2019s survey for Independent Reserve.
