The Block analyst Igor Igamberdiev drew attention to this.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I even started to get a little bored, but half an hour ago $31M were stolen from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MonoXFinance?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@MonoXFinance<\/a> on Polygon and Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 5.7M MATIC ($10.5M)<br \/>\u2014 3.9k WETH ($18.2M)<br \/>\u2014 36.1 WBTC ($2M)<br \/>\u2014 1.2k LINK ($31k)<br \/>\u2014 3.1k GHST ($9.1k)<br \/>\u2014 5.1M DUCK ($257k)<br \/>\u2014 4.1k MIM ($4.1k)<br \/>\u2014 274 IMX ($2k) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BjtW7UlG6b\">pic.twitter.com\/BjtW7UlG6b<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Igor Igamberdiev (@FrankResearcher) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FrankResearcher\/status\/1465679352448917504?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 30, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to the researcher, the attacker stole:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5.7 million MATIC tokens (worth about $10.5 million);<\/li>\n<li>3,900 WETH ($18.2 million);<\/li>\n<li>36.1 WBTC ($2 million);<\/li>\n<li>1,200 LINK ($31,000);<\/li>\n<li>3,100 GHST ($9,100);<\/li>\n<li>5.1 million DUCK ($257,000);<\/li>\n<li>4,100 MIM ($4,100);<\/li>\n<li>274 IMX ($2,000).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Soon after Igamberdiev&#8217;s tweet, MonoX representatives confirmed the hack.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This morning our contract has been exploited. We are sorry to our users who have deposited funds. The team is investigating and will try our very best to get the stolen funds back. They said the incident is being investigated and steps are being taken to recover the funds.<\/p>\n<p>MonoX representatives subsequently explained that the attacker managed, using a swap contract, to push MONO&#8217;s price to the skies, and then buy all the other assets in the pool with it.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A method in the swap contract was exploited and boosted MONO token price to sky-high.
