This is what Denis Bo, the Bank of France&#8217;s first deputy governor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bis.org\/review\/r211128f.htm\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The official touched on this topic in a speech addressing the challenges posed by the digital euro.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>It is necessary to make further important changes. In particular, supervision of the DeFi sector, where ordinary regulatory frameworks are limited. Issuers and service providers are hard to identify; protocols operate automatically without intermediaries, and there is no fixed jurisdiction for the services offered<\/em>, <em>\u2014<\/em> he explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bo cited the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/eu-plans-to-regulate-cryptocurrencies-on-a-par-with-traditional-financial-assets\">Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation<\/a> (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, MiCA).
