The shares of the merged entity, named Bitdeer Technologies Group, will trade on NASDAQ.<\/p>\n<p>Bitdeer\u2019s valuation was around $4 billion. The deal has been approved by the boards of directors of the two companies, and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The firm will be led by Jihan Wu as founder and chair of Bitdeer.<\/p>\n<p>The company operates five data centres in the United States and Norway and provides equipment procurement for cryptocurrency mining, logistics, hosting and cloud mining services.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2020, two founders of the Bitmain mining hardware maker, Jihan Wu and Micree Zhang <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/jihan-wu-to-receive-600m-severance-as-he-exits-bitmain\">reached an agreement<\/a> to settle the longstanding dispute.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In January Wu <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/jihan-wu-steps-down-as-bitmain-chief-executive\">left Bitmain<\/a>, receiving $600 million as severance, the BTC.com mining pool and Bitdeer.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, in February <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/jihan-wu-sells-btc-com-mining-pool-to-500-com\">he sold BTC.com<\/a> to the online lottery services provider 500.com Limited.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bitdeer, a provider of mining services, announced a merger with the SPAC Blue Safari Group Acquisition Corp.
