Over the last 24 hours, AVAX rose by almost 10%, and over the week by 24%, according to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/avalanche\\\">CoinGecko<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, the asset hovered near $106. Asset holders of the <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-are-erc-20-tokens\">ERC-20<\/a> standard gained the ability to transfer them to the Avalanche blockchain using <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-are-cross-chain-bridges\">the cross-chain bridge<\/a>. Aave accounts for 29% of the assets locked in the protocol&#8217;s smart contracts.<\/p>\n<p>The Avalanche ecosystem also hosts the popular decentralised exchange Trader Joe \u2014 its TVL in November surpassed $2 billion. According to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/dex\\\">CoinGecko<\/a>, by daily trading volume the platform outsized players such as Uniswap v2, Sushiswap and Curve Finance.
