Source: Meta.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The company also discussed real-time rendering technology for virtual worlds, which is intended to become the place where avatars interact with other digital copies of people. Source: Meta.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In 2019, Facebook<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2019\/09\/23\/facebook-announces-acquisition-of-brain-computing-start-up-ctrl-labs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"> acquired<\/a> CTRL-Labs, whose technologies presumably laid the groundwork for the EMG device.<\/p>\n<p>Meta did not specify when the technologies would reach the market. According to Abrash, they are &#8216;still in the research stage&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on 28 October<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/facebook-rebrands-as-meta-nfts-to-feature-in-zuckerbergs-metaverse\"> Facebook carried out a major rebranding<\/a>. The company is now called Meta, and its main aim is to create a metaverse, which it calls the &#8216;next stage in the evolution of social connections&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>On 5 October, former Facebook employee Frances Haugen told the US Senate that<a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/whistleblower-facebook-uses-algorithms-to-inflame-hatred-for-profit\"> the social network uses algorithms to incite hatred<\/a> for profit.
