[\u2026] It took us three, four, five years to provide investor protection,\u201d the official noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The SEC chair added that financial stability and public safety are the top priorities.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cWhile all this is interesting, but it reminds me of the time when roughly 15 years ago peer-to-peer lending emerged. [\u2026] It took us three, four, five years to provide investor protection,\u201d the official noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In August, Gensler <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/gensler-warns-of-tighter-regulation-for-defi-and-stablecoins\">warned about tighter regulation<\/a> of stablecoins and <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/what-is-decentralised-finance-defi\">DeFi<\/a>.
