The Saint Petersburg-based cultural space NFT<\/span>-platform Third Place NFT<\/a>, which runs on the Free TON blockchain. According to the press release<\/a>, the platform’s distinctive feature is its focus on projects related to real-world artworks:<\/p>\n

“Under the platform, artists and galleries will have the opportunity to tokenize their works, as well as register and sell exclusive rights to their creations.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Third Place NFT team plans to issue its own token, holders of which will receive \u2018curatorial rights\u2019 and be able to vote on the works presented, thereby highlighting truly valuable art pieces.<\/p>\n

In the initial stage, the project tokens will be distributed among notable figures in the art world who participated in the platform’s launch. As the project develops, new participants will be able to receive governance tokens as a reward for active participation.<\/p>\n

In addition to trading artworks via NFT, the Third Place NFT platform plans to create a \u2018collective private gallery of classical art\u2019. As part of this project, Third Place plans to source artworks on the market and, in partnership with several of Russia’s largest museums, verify their authenticity.<\/p>\n

The rights to the discovered items will be minted as NFTs, which will be put up for sale on Third Place NFT. The price of a token representing a share in the rights will depend on the size of the artwork and its value, ranging from $1,000 to $30,000. The artworks themselves will be lent for temporary exhibitions in partner museums, and later will be displayed in the Third Place art gallery.<\/p>\n
