All materials are protected by cryptographic signatures confirming their authenticity.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release, this information can be used to automate key on-chain processes. For example, <span data-descr=\"decentralised applications\" class=\"old_tooltip\">dapps<\/span> will be able to initiate trading operations after a company publishes its financial report.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cChainlink technology is the ideal way to provide smart-contract developers with direct access to reliable economic, sports and electoral data from AP. The collaboration with Chainlink will enable the integration of this information with any blockchain,\u201d said Duane Desaulniers, AP&#8217;s Director of Data Licensing.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The agency began exploring distributed ledger technology in October 2020. The organisation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/ap-and-everipedia-team-up-to-publish-us-election-race-calls-on-the-blockchain-301153468.html\">entered into an agreement<\/a> with the Everipedia startup\u2014together they published data on the US presidential race on the blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2021 AP <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/ap-auctions-nft-commemorating-the-2020-u-s-presidential-election-on-the-blockchain\">put up for auction <span data-descr=\"non-fungible token\" class=\"old_tooltip\">NFT<\/span><\/a>, dedicated to a joint project with Everipedia. <\/p>\n<p>In August, <a href=\"https:\/\/u1f987.com\/en\/news\/swisscom-joins-chainlink-oracle-network\">one of Switzerland&#8217;s largest telecommunications companies, Swisscom<\/a> joined the Chainlink network. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Associated Press has joined the Chainlink oracle network.
